Years ago I was referred by a good friend to Mike Barrett about some issues I was having with my vehicle. I'd been burned by other mechanics and dealerships and just wanted someone with honesty and integrity to tell me what was going on with my car. I found that someone in Mike and I've been taking my vehicles to him ever since. Not only excellent mechanics, but the folks at Auto Excel are great people. They'e always professional, always courteous, and always willing and able to explain what's going on under the hood. I highly recommend the good folks at Auto Excel.

I have been doing business with Auto Excel for a while now and have always had a very positive experience with Mike, Barry and everyone else at their shop. I have referred many of my friends to Auto Excel because I know they will be receive the best possible service in Lexington. It is very difficult to find a good mechanic shop but I can say these guys are the best! If you are looking for a good mechanic ........ give these guys a call.

This is an awesome establishment, all the gentlemen there are very polite and very respectful. They treat women with the utmost of courtesy. Your vehicle will be examined completely, there will not be any hidden fees. They guarantee all their work.They honor what they tell a person. If they tell you a price, it will be that price when you go to pay. If there is a problem, all a customer has to do, is talk with them and it will be fixed. You are treated with respect. They understand what the economy is, they will treat you as they want to be treated when they or their family go into another business. If you have to wait for your vehicle to be repaired, they have an outstanding waiting room. If a person is needing a honest mechanic, then this is the place to bring any vehicle you have. All the benefits of a big dealership but only with a home town feel, no hidden agenda's.

I trust these guys. Mike and Barry (brothers) are extremely knowledgable and actually took a repair for me that others would not. They are upfront and honest with your repair needs but are also understanding about your budget. I will recommend these guys to others. Keep up the good work fellas.

My husband and I looked all over to find a good mechanic in Lexington when we moved here and settled on Auto Excel because of their fantastic service, complete trustworthiness and superior knowledge of car repair. They have been helpful in all things car-related, including helping us shop for a new car and looking out specifically for our needs. Pretend to be polite but only in it for extremely high profits. VERY expensive. They quoted me for more than the dealership to do less to my truck! CRAZY!! If you go here be prepared to shell out some major cash and don't ask why! They don't like that!

I have to say that I have never had a place tell me off like these people did. I have personally been burned by a few auto-machanic places before and am very cautious when approaching a new place. I asked them a few questions about the cost of service (which is not a huge deal to me as long as it is quality work with nice people) and how they go about doing it. They, in response, told me that they would not help me and directly hung up on me. I was very polite during the conversation. They were polite until I called to tell them I was coming to their shop. I wanted to make sure that the 'free inspection' wasn't going to force me to buy parts that instant if I didn't want to. This is when the speaker (names won't be used because I believe in common decency) told me that the shop was unwilling to inspect (while another individual in the background made some very rude comments about me) my car in a very impolite manner (whereas his tone changed suddenly to be very negative). I will be going to another car shop that offers good service for a simple brake job at $240 with a 3 year warranty.

I was referred to Mike and Barry by a relative after searching for a good mechanic for a few years since moving to Lexington from the East Coast. I have been using them for almost 3 years now and continually refer them to neighbors, friends, and even have started to list them in welcome packages for anyone coming into our neighborhood. I've been in sales for years and "trust" is the top priority of all business relationships and these guy's have truly earned my trust. They not only do excellent automotive work with a broad variety of vehicles but each and every time I bring mine or my wife's car in for service or a checkup they prioritize saftey first, optimum performance needs, and very importantly create a financial peace of mind when you go to any service oriented business. These people are first and foremost really good guy's who just happen to be excellent mechanics. I would go no further in your search for a trusted and quality place to serve your vehicle.

They did an excellent job fixing multiple engine on my Buick Rainer -- great people over there, great service, & way less expensive than the quotes I was getting from other companies. Will def recommend to everyone I know.
