What a ripoff!!! I did have them arrange to have my vehicle towed in. They seemed nice enough until I got the bill. The towing charge was a promised at $65.00. That was fair. That is where the fairness stopped. Prior to going into the shop, I priced out a serpentine belt for my 97 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan. Auto Zone had their top of the line belt for $39.99 with a 3 year warranty. I also priced out a tension pulley assembly. It was $42.00. It is remarkable that my diagnosis of my problem was exactly what they said was wrong with it after they did their $95.00 diagnostic evaluation. They also found that the alternator was in need of tightening. They quoted me a price of over $400.00 to replace the $42.00 part and put on a belt. I told them to put the belt on and let me drive it home. Their charge for the belt alone was over $82.00. The bill came out including the towing charge in the amount of $205.00. Just to replace the belt. When I got home, I purchased the pulley assembly and went to my local garage. They charged me the flat rate charge of 3/4 hour of labor (total labor $45.00) to put on the pulley assembly and the belt. The total paid for pulley and belt was less than $90.00 not $400.00. BEWARE!!!

The service received at Auto Excel is exceptional! They are in the business of making you safer on the roads! They are very easy to work with and will be honest with you about what needs to be done on your vehicle and give you timelines of when to get things done. I have had many great experiences at Auto Excel. Mike has worked on my vehicles for the last 3+ years and has never failed to give me anything but satisfaction. I will gladly recommend this shop to anyone in need of a honest mechanic that doesn't just throw parts at the problem but really gets into it to figure it out.

As far as auto repair shops go...this is one of the best I've been to. They are a relatively small shop, but they know their business. If you have been considering taking your car to a dealer for service because you think you want it done right the first time...think again and give these guys a shot...and you'll save yourself some money as well!

I am beyond satisfied with the service I received at Auto Excel. You can count on them to keep you informed in a very timely manner as well as have your car fixed quickly and correctly. It is just a bonus that they are so friendly along the way! I truly appreciated the fact that they were willing to take the time to explain all issues in depth and provide additional advice about caring for my car in the future. Highly recommend!

I am a new customer to Auto Excel and was very impressed with the customer service and integrity of the guys who work there. I had several maintenance items overdue on my car so I knew I needed to put some money into the car for the long haul. These guys did a complete inspection and helped me prioritize what was needed and what was not. They got the work done quickly and went above and beyond to help save me some money.
